    "Hukuk eğitiminin amacı kaynaklara, kavramlara, ilkelere ve kurumlara hâkim ayrıca uyuşmazlıkları adil ve etkin şekilde çözebilecek hukukçular yetiştirmektir. Bu eğitim geleceğin hukukçularının insan onuru, özgürlük, demokrasi, eşitlik, hukukun üstünlüğü ve insan haklarına saygı gibi değerleri benimsemesinde yol gösterici olmalıdır. Mevcut eğitim sistemimiz, ilköğretim seviyesinden yükseköğretime kadar, bu amaçları gerçekleştirmenin çok uzağındadır.
    Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nde hukuk devleti ilkesi hayata geçirilememektedir. Bu sorunun kaynağında yatan temel sebeplerden birisi, sürekli göz ardı edilmesine rağmen, hukuk eğitimindeki giderilemeyen eksiklikler ve yapılan hatalardır.
    Bir ödüle layık görülmüş bu çalışmada hukuk eğitiminin tarihi araştırılmış ve geçmişten kültürel olarak devraldığımız sorunların kökenine inilmeye çalışılmıştır. Eserde hukuk eğitiminin güncel sorunları ciddi miktarda veriden faydalanarak irdelenmiştir. Kitapta sadece durum tespiti yapılmamış aynı zamanda değinilen problemlere ilişkin çözüm önerileri sunulmuş ve hukuk eğitiminde yararlanılabilecek alternatif eğitim metotları incelenmiştir."
